AFGHANISTAN BANNED CLUSTER MUNITIONS

I was privileged when Afghan President decided at the last hours of 3rd December 2008 to Sign the Convention on Cluster Munitions! Banning the cluster munitions safe the lives and livehoods of 25 million Afghans from the horrible risks of these indiscriminate weapons forever!


Ambassador Jawed Ludin the designate representative of President Hamid Karzai signed the convention and we (UN representative, Mahdy Yarri Afghan diplomat, Thomas Nash CMC coordinator, Firoz ALIZADA ICBL representative, Susan Walker ICBL representative, Suliman Aminy ALSO's advocate and Soraj Jan Ban Advocate) witnessed him
