30th ratification opened a new page for peace!

Convention on Cluster Munitions reached to 30th ratification on Feb 17 2010!!!! It means that this convention will enter into force in 1st August 2010. This convention like the Mine Ban Convention will safe the lives of innocents that are threaten by the danger of cluster munitions in over 20 countries.

Peace organizations have been welcoming this great news around the world. Afghan Landmine Survivors Organization issued a press release to welcome the 30th ratification of the CCM. Taking this opportunity, once again ALSO called on the Government of Afghanistan to ensure the safety of its civilians by ratifying this convention without further delay.
